Upon reflection, I think the most unique thing Angela does compared to the other help I've gotten, is that she never tells you the correct answer. She asks you questions about the question and passage/word problem and your approach, until you understand where you went wrong in your thinking. You begin to think differently about questions because you have thoroughly understood all the different question types that can come up in the sections. So with almost every single question, you are able to look at it and know what they will be asking you and how you will solve it. This was very important for me and boosted my performance.

I took the ACT 2 times before and was stuck around 32. I wanted to get to 35+. Just when I had given up, I found Angela. She is really motivating. I felt like my score was stuck before but she was able to quickly pinpoint errors that were easy to fix. Even after our first session, I already felt like she made a huge difference.

My son and I found SAT Bootcamp to be the perfect balance of a small group (everyone was in the same boat), along with getting personally needed attention. My son's issues were time management and comfort with the test's standardized format. The Skype class was practical, effortless (in pajamas!), and most importantly, we were both excited to see measurable progress and gains. I often hovered nearby and noted Angela Sun's energetic ability to connect with these high school kids and facilitate their focus on what was needed to make immediate and substantial gains.

Before working with Angela, writing essays was a daunting task. After spending hours trying to perfect my wording, I accomplished very little. With no structured process of how to go about writing an essay, I ranted on for hours on a google doc, only to create a very boring, repetitive statement. Angela showed me that to make my essay an exciting read, I have to show--not tell. After wood shedding my essays to replace all my flat, telly statements with dynamic, showy ones, my writing began to change. My sentences became more clear and direct. You could finally recognize my personality in the words! The application process suddenly seemed so much more possible now that I knew how to draft, edit, and polish an essay. Angela taught me a structured way to write a college essay that will help me in all my future applications. Thank you so much Angela!

Angela was fun and friendly to work with. We had a blast and our essay was completely transformed at the end. Angela is detail oriented and everytime we thought the essay was done, she found new ways to make it even better. I recommend her to my friends and my family. My daughter spoke very highly of her the entire time and never complained she was spending 6 hours a week writing essays. I honestly don't know what would have happened with MIT if we had turned in our original essays, but thanks to Angela, we were in!

I feel like my daughter was a completely different person after working with Angela on the college admissions process. She was a better writer. She became introspective. She became confident. We learned so much more from Angela than how to get into college.

I actually got [my essays] corrected at another company before and they told me they were good enough. But I really felt like they weren't unique. Two weeks before my ED deadline, I got my essays reviewed by Angela. Angela’s feedback and expectations are on a whole different level. Where other consultants told me my essays were done, Angela was able to identify and explain how to fix huge missing pieces to my essay that I had always felt were problematic, but was never able to articulate or pinpoint. Angela really knows what she is doing.
